Stage Magazine gave Eddie in 2000 the Stage Magazine award, accompanied with the title“Percussionist of all ages”, a lifetime achievement award. Eddie C ( Eddie Conard ) had the pleasure presenting this award in 2001 to the Dutch rock group ” The Golden Earings ” whom he also worked with on recordings and live. Eddie’s interest in sounds and rhythms started at a very young age.

International artists contracted him for their European tours. Artists like Gino Vannelli, The Pointer Sisters, The Tramps, Ernie Watts, , Tavares’s, Al Jarreau, Mike Batt, Chaka Khan, Eros Ramozzotti, Tommy Emanuel ,Madeline Bell and Soul Sister, in a European tour with Sting just to name a few. In Holland he was the session- percussionist on records and live with many Dutch and Belgium Jack van Pol artists like Kane, René Froger, Laura Figy, Candy Dulfer, Lee Towers and Rob de Nijs. Eddie also performed with the Dutch dj’s Marcello and Remy for the Barclay Dance Blend, organized by TMF. Together with The Rosenberg Trio he has also performed a musical tribute to Django Reinhardt.

Actually it all started with playing on the bottom of a metal bucket, listening to music in the basement at his parents home in Gary, Indiana. Eddie came to The Netherlands in 1974 for a short visit on an exchange program then decided to come back and study sociology but at one point decided to follow his passion for music. He became session musician and over the years has recorded on over 3000 recordings with various artists. As a percussionist and sideman Eddie C became more famous in and out of Holland.

Eddie also works as front man in different formations and produces other artists as well as gives special team building workshops based on rhythm for companies and is a band coach for the conservatory in Enschede, and different Music Academy’s in The Netherlands. He’s one half of the duo Soulful with Frank Peeters and a motivation speaker for young musicians to achieve their musical goals.His specific voice combined with his American accent can also be heard in several radio and tv commercials. He also did the Dutch voice over of Clifford, the naughty purple Muppet with dreadlocks, in the movie Muppets in Space.Percussionist, vocalist, entertainer, producer, composer, teacher and motivation speaker. Eddie has the years of experience that keeps him young at heart but wise in musical spirit and someone special for any event leaving you feeling good and a smile on your face.
